The news that Bollywood's serial loverboy and his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri have broken up has been widely reported.

Reports coming in now suggest it was Nargis who moved on, only to start dating model-turned-actor Shayan Munshi, widely known as the witness who turned hostile in the Jessica Lall murder case.

Over the past month after her break-up with Ranbir, Nargis has reportedly taken a quick weekend vacation with Shayan in Goa and has been spotted dining with him at swank nightclubs in Mumbai.

The two were also seen watching the cricket World Cup final together at a bar in Juhu.

The catch being, when it comes to Ranbir it is generally the new- age superstar who is known to hop from one girl to the next, as is obvious from his past flings with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.

Nargis seems to be the first girl who has moved on to a different man after breaking up with Ranbir, instead of hoping he would return to her.
"After his split with Katrina, Ranbir has made it clear he wants to stay single for now. That could be the reason why Nargis has moved on to Shayan," said a source.

Shayan and Nargis first met thanks to his sister. "Shayan's New York-based sister is a close friend of Nargis and it was she who introduced them to each other. After that first formal meeting, Shayan and Nargis have been hanging out a lot together. They like to spend time with each other," a source said.

Nargis, who is new in Mumbai, also looks up to Shayan for guidance.

"Shayan has been single ever since he split with his wife of four years, former veejay Peeya Roy Chowdhury. Nargis stays close to his place, so they catch up whenever they can," added our source.

Shayan, on his part, has dismissed rumours of a serious affair, insisting that since Nargis is a friend of his sister, she is close to the family and they are "just good friends". Onlookers, however, claim there could be something brewing between the two. "It is has been evident from their body language. Shayan is protective about her whenever they venture out," said a source who saw them dine out.

Nargis Fakhri is a half-Czech, half-Pakistani model who makes her Bollywood debut in Imtiaz Ali's upcoming Rockstar. No sooner did the shooting of Rockstar start, the media was abuzz with reports of how cosy Ranbir had become with his debutant co-star. It was widely regarded as a reason for his break-up with Katrina, whom he was seeing till then.

Reportedly, Katrina demanded commitment from Ranbir but he was not in a mood to settle down just yet.

Shayan, who made his debut in the 2003 hit Jhankaar Beats, has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. He was a prime witness in the Jessica Lall murder case in 1999 but later backed out on his original statement.
